The importance of Low VOC'sVolatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) are carbon based chemicals that vaporise into the atomosphere. VOC's are known to have a detrimental environmental impact by increasing ground-level ozone, which in turn can lead to eye irritation and breathing problems. From Janruary 2007 there is an EU directive to protect the environment under which all emissions from water borne floor coatings must be below 140g/l.
The whole Granwax water-borne range comes well under that target level. Where feasible the raw maerials used are based on natural renewable resources such as vegetable oil and they have been formulated to have minimal odour and be safe to use as possible.
Granwax will continue to improve their products in the future to protect people and the environment.
